"Threaded Endeavors" is an homage to the misunderstood genre of fiber art, but also a reference to the way art ties, stitches and strings us together across cultures, time and place.

In my art, I explore the medium of fiber, as well as paint and digital media. In my work I address themes of identity, femininity, belief, family and community.

I believe that participation in visual and other forms of fine art is beneficial to all children and adults. It can build a sense of self-efficacy, develope one's ability to generate ideas, and help us all to communicate with one another. Art builds a sense of empathy. It helps us come to a deeper understanding of ourselves and others. Because of these beliefs it is my desire to bring art and art-making oppurtunities to as many people as possible.

The purpose of this website is to provide a portfolio of my work to those who would be interested in obtaining a piece of art for their space. It is also an attempt to advertise my services to lead workshops, participate in artisit-in -residence programs, and create pubic art for non-profit and educational organizations. Finally it is my small contribution of ideas and creative energy to the visual arts community of cyber-space.
